BlytheCon UK 2024 – Edinburgh
We are thrilled to announce that BlytheCon UK 2024 will be held in the beautiful city of Edinburgh!
Edinburgh is the beautiful and historic capital of Scotland, boasting excellent transport links for UK based and international visitors alike. Join BlytheCon UK in the first UNESCO City of Literature; home of the Writers’ Museum, of the only railway station named for a novel, of the world’s largest book festival, and so much more!
BlytheCon UK 2024 will be held at Lauriston Hall, in the heart of Edinburgh.
The venue is wheelchair accessible from the street pavement, and has an accessible toilet.
Edinburgh Airport is situated just 8km to the west of the city, with excellent transport links via bus, tram, car, or taxi. Glasgow Airport and Newcastle Airport are also great options with coach and rail links to Edinburgh.
The two major railway stations in Edinburgh, Waverley and Haymarket, both operate regular services within Scotland and much further afield.
On-street parking is restricted. On Saturdays between 8.30am and 6.30pm the charge is £4.60 per hour. There are two designated disabled bays opposite the church. The nearest multi-storey car park is at Tollcross, a 5-minute walk away.
The venue is about 15-minutes walk from both Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket railway stations. The walk from Haymarket is flatter and easier.
